Porro, renowned for its architectural approach and commitment to pure forms, precise craftsmanship, and innovative materials, proudly participates in the London Design Festival for the second consecutive year. Our London showroom, nestled within the magnificent brick building along the Regent’s Canal in King’s Cross, has undergone a remarkable transformation. The space showcases our versatile systems and extraordinary furniture pieces, creating a symphony of design possibilities for architects and creatives alike.

Prepare to be mesmerized by an explosion of colors, energetic compositions, and patchwork inlaid surfaces of cellulose acetate. In London, we present the astonishing Linea cupboards, a result of meticulous research conducted in collaboration with Alessandro Mendini’s daughters, Fulvia and Elisa Mendini, who delved into the timeless designs archived by their father. Displayed are the open cupboard with modular and drawer elements, as well as the closed cupboard with two hinged doors, elevated on a dark base. These limited-edition pieces, each produced in only 50 units, embody a free-spirited approach beyond the confines of industrial production, inviting you to envision their unique presence in everyday life. With bold and radical designs, these objects celebrate the need for contemporary decoration, transcending minimalist conventions. They pay homage to creativity, the artistry of craftsmanship, and the timeless influence of a design maestro like Alessandro Mendini.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by the elegant Lullaby armchair, designed by Nicola Gallizia, boasting sophisticated details such as the curved structure in solid black-stained ash, cuvée foot, and a plush brick-colored upholstery that beckons relaxation. Our Storage system, a collaborative creation by Piero Lissoni and CRS Porro, guides you along a transparent internal pathway, effortlessly combining functionality and aesthetics. The sleek black-painted metal frame harmonizes with the black sugi interiors, an exquisite finish that captivates the senses. Illuminated shelves highlight the graphic design of the Storage system, transforming it into a stage for showcasing garments.

At Porro, our relentless pursuit of materials, manufacturing techniques, and evocative shapes comes alive in the Materic Ovale table, featuring an oval top and a truncated cone base crafted from Latte ash. This silent object emanates visual harmony and poetic minimalism, captivating with its delicate natural nuances. Complementing the table are the Neve chairs, masterfully designed by Piero Lissoni, which offer a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic wooden chair through soft yet refined lines.

Witness the timeless appeal of the Load-it bookshelving system, a Porro signature piece designed by Wolfgang Tolk in 1995. With its shelves elegantly slicing through the space, this versatile system is seamlessly combined with the Modern suspended top in black-stained ash. The result is an ideal solution for transforming transitional spaces into functional bookshelving areas with integrated home-working stations. Magnetic spotlights along the electrified profile beneath the shelf provide customizable illumination.

Step into a world where the past, present, and future converge, where sartorial spaces intertwine with vibrant craftsmanship, and where new creative languages unfold. Join us at Porro London to immerse yourself in an endless array of design possibilities.
