Molteni&C opens its newest Flagship Store in Boston, marking the brand’s rapid growth in the contemporary design scene of the American market. The store is a collaboration with Casa Design Group, renowned for providing top-notch service and elegant, sophisticated interiors. Casa Design Group stands as Boston’s premier high-end design resource, trusted by homeowners and prestigious interior design firms and architects for their expertise. With six furniture showrooms in the historic SoWa Art + Design District, totaling almost 13,000 square feet, the company offers a curated selection of high-end furnishings and design solutions to meet the unique needs of its clients.

The Molteni&C Flagship Store is located in the SoWa district, situated in the South End of Boston, which has transitioned from its industrial beginnings to become a vibrant hub of arts and design. In the 19th century, the area’s characteristic brick and beam factories were bustling with manufacturers producing pianos, canned goods, shoes, and various other merchandise. Over time, these industrial spaces have been repurposed into galleries, studios, and designer showrooms, fostering a dynamic cultural scene.

Today, SoWa is celebrated for its eclectic art community and hosts numerous cultural events such as market days, gallery openings, and art walks. These gatherings highlight the district’s transformation and establish it as a central locale for creative minds and art enthusiasts, making it a significant destination for those intrigued by contemporary art and design.

The Flagship Store is a conceptual celebration, an ode to the protagonists of the architecture world. Within the store’s walls are works by great masters and designers of cities, spaces, interiors, and furnishings, such as Vincent Van Duysen, Jean Nouvel, Foster + Partners, Ron Gilad, Yabu Pushelberg, Herzog & de Meuron, to name a few. In line with Molteni&C’s ethos, the space exudes the idea of a cozy, reassuring, and welcoming home, but one that also evolves with the times.
