Doggy Bathroom
An Ideal Solution For Late Nights
Doggy Bathroom will provide your pet the opportunity to use their own private bathroom whenever they naturally need to, adding an added touch of luxury and relaxation to their vacation. This is the perfect solution for pets who are jetlagged, frightened dogs, or late-night travellers.
The Doggy Bathroom is the only dog litter box with bespoke pee pads made specifically for vertical placement that is suitable for toy breeds, especially males who lift their leg. It can be used as a seasonal solution for tiny breeds that cannot endure extreme weather or as an alternative when outdoor access is restricted. It is constructed of 100% recyclable plastic.
As stated by President & Founder Alain Courchesne, “offering the Doggy Bathroom at Kimpton Saint George enables our guests enjoy the same luxuries of home while they travel.
“Kimpton Saint George shares our beliefs of having a well-designed space while ensuring that our dogs travel just as comfortably and opulently as we do,” the author said.
The first Canadian outpost of the Kimpton brand is the Kimpton Saint George, which is situated at 280 Bloor Street West.
Pets are welcome at Kimpton Hotels, which opened in 1981. As long as your pet can fit through the elevator, Kimpton Saint George welcomes them. There are no weight or size restrictions, and there are no additional fees. The care of guests with pet allergies is ensured by separate levels free of pets. Plush pet beds, food, water bowls, courtesy bags, and the opportunity to participate in the hotel’s famous nightly social hour are just a few of the facilities available to pet guests.
According to Nabeel Toubayly, general manager of Kimpton Saint George, “bringing the Doggy Bathroom to Kimpton Saint George is another wonderful step we’re taking to address the rising demographic of pet-owning travellers.”
The Doggy Bathroom’s modern, streamlined style fits right in with the Kimpton brand’s emphasis on design, making it a natural addition to our list of amenities and services.
The Doggy Bathroom is the only indoor potty solution for small dogs, including males who lift their leg. Montreal-based designer Alain Courchesne launched the concept on Kickstarter after a very successful reveal at SuperZoo Expo in Las Vegas in 2018. The product’s simplicity and design have been garnering worldwide attention winning a 2021 Pet Innovation Award and 2021 Grand Prix du Design Award. Courchesne and his 2-year-old Italian Greyhound paired up to create an innovative solution for male dogs who lift their leg featuring custom Adhesive Pee Pads, which are held up vertically by an adhesive strip. Although the Doggy Bathroom was designed with males in mind, female dogs can call it their own, too, making its design universal. It can be used as a potty-training device for puppies, as a seasonal solution for small breeds who cannot withstand extreme weather, or as a permanent solution for dogs and/or owners with limited mobility. The Doggy Bathroom has been granted a utility patent in the US along with 7 design patents internationally. It is made of 100% recyclable plastic and its bespoke Adhesive Pee Pads are made with biodegradable materials. In 2020, manufacturing was moved to Montreal, Canada in order to support the local economy and minimize carbon emissions, winning the entrepreneurs the Osentreprendre award for relocating manufacturing to Canada.
